Updated and improved versions of the INFORSE Sustainable Energy Vision for Latvia was presented on November 13, 2008 in Riga.

The Vision for Latvia was presented together with a number of other energy plans and strategies for Latvia. Most interesting was probably that the Ministry of Environment is doing a scenario until 2020 that has many similarities with the sustainable energy vision of INFORSE-Europe and the Latvian Green Movement.

The event was incorporated in the energy seminar organized by LGM and a number of other environmental NGOs involved in the Environmental Advisory Council and aiming to get input into discussion on energy scenarios from different energy experts as well as increase involvement of NGOs into energy issues. The energy development scenarios presented at the seminar gave possibility to a quite good debate of available resources, technologies and prices.

The ‘Updated INFORSE Vision for Latvia’ was presented by Gunnar Boye Olesen.
It is avalable at: Vision 2050 Latvia

The target audience of the event were environmental NGOs, energy experts and decision makers. About 35 people participated in the seminar.
