A campaign, Windforce10,
for '10% Windpower in the World Electricity Supply by 2020'
or earlier is launched by Forum for Energy & Development, Greenpeace,
and European Wind Energy Association (EWEA) in 1999. INFORSE-Europe
has taken up the theme in a regional context: how to achieve an appropriate
share of windpower in Europe to reach the global target, and which policy
will be needed to achieve this. Further, INFORSE-Europe
cooperates with INFORSE Latin America that is preparing a regional campaign
in the Southern Cone of Latin America: Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Paraguay,
and Uruguay.
